Happiness and negativity are both a bit like viruses, when we’ve hung around someone infected with one of these we’ve all noticed how contagious it is!

Even more significantly, researchers have found that happy people get an extra 10 years of happy, healthy life compared to the negative people. This important discovery means it’s time to take our happiness seriously.

I suggest starting by making a list of those people who bring out the best in you and those who don’t. Then, rather obviously, hang out with those in list one, and avoid spending time with those on list two as much as you can. All sounds pretty easy, but what if those human black holes on list two are people you share an office, a house, or even worse, share genes with? Then avoiding them just isn’t an option…
