It is with great sadness that we learn the news of the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II.  Our thoughts go out to her family and to all of those who feel a sense of loss at her passing.

This sad news will produce a range of emotional responses. There will be many with a deep sense of loss for someone who has been one of the few constant factors throughout their lifetime. Others may feel sad but confused, recognising they didn’t personally know her, and wondering if the sense of grief they have is reasonable. For some, it may remind them of their own experiences of loss, and others will feel less affected by her passing.

One of grief’s most surprising elements is how it is a deeply personal and individual response and that there are no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ levels of it. So whatever level of loss you feel, it may help to recognise that this is a completely natural and reasonable reaction to this event.

Our small contribution…
In recognition of the importance, for so many, of her passing, and to express our gratitude for her life of service, we’ve made our ‘Finding your path through grief’ audio programme free for this period of mourning.  So if you, or someone you know, are struggling with the effects of grief then we hope you find this useful in processing these difficult emotions at this time.  Get it here…
