What are Binaural beats?
When your brain hears two musical notes that are quite similar, it also hears a third. This third note is the difference between those 2 other notes- this is called a ‘beat’.
Notes are measured in Hz, which means the number of vibrations a second. The higher the number the more high pitched a note sounds, the lower, the more low or bass-y it is.
So if one of the notes is at 120hz and another at 121hz you will hear a third ‘beat’ note at 1 hz.
If the brain is fed one note into the right ear and the other into the left, it will hear the third ‘beat’ note in the middle of your head- this is called a binaural (2 ear) beat.
Research shows that if that third note is between 1 and 10 hz it has a powerful positive effect on the brain because the brain waves are also between 1-10hz.
Binaural beats in the delta (1 to 4 Hz) range are linked to deep sleep and relaxation.
Binaural beats in the theta (4 to 8 Hz) range to REM sleep, reduced anxiety, relaxation, as well as meditative and creative states.
Binaural beats in the alpha frequencies (8 to 13 Hz) encourage relaxation, promote positivity, and decrease anxiety.
Binaural beats in the lower beta frequencies (14 to 30 Hz) increase concentration and alertness, problem-solving, and improve memory.
What are Subliminal Suggestions?
Subliminal suggestions are only just audible, and research shows that it allows those suggestions to be more accepted by your brain than ones you can easily here.
Don’t listen to it whilst driving or anywhere where you need to be focused. These audio programmes are designed to be played at a low volume so that you don’t even have to consciously listen to them to gain the benefits of complete calm and relaxation.
