De-stress for the NHS, by Dr Phil Parker
Welcome! We know that at this challenging time you, key members of the NHS staff, are under even more pressure than usual.
Maybe it’s the intensity of every shift, increasing patient numbers, the uncertainty of knowing how long this will last, along with concerns about how it may affect your or your family’s health. All factors that research suggests can affect your mental and physical wellbeing.
As a ‘thank you’ to and to provide you with important support during this difficult time we’ve created a free online course to address some of these issues.
It’s been designed by Dr Phil Parker, a lecturer in Coaching at London Metropolitan University and an expert on how to deal with extreme circumstances and is based on trainings he’s provided to hospitals and medical schools globally.
It guides you through a range of practical skills and engaging guided exercises to help you to:
- De-stress and increase your wellbeing
- Find new ways to deal with others and flourish in difficult circumstances
- Be able to pass some of these skills on to help patients too
We know how busy you are, so we’ve designed it so each episode lasts less than 10 minutes and can be easily accessed, through a range of social media portals (Facebook, YouTube and Podcasts)
We do hope you find it useful, please share it with your team, friends and family and thanks for all that you do for everyone.
